Sometimes one damaged image can be saved by another. This early 1900s glass negative by Nathan C. White contained two portraits of the same little girl, but both had significant damage. Using new technology I was able to use the undamaged portions of one portrait to reconstruct the missing details in the other. It's a reminder that even heavily damaged negatives can still preserve enough information to bring history back to life.
