What is perimenopause and how do I know if it's starting?
Perimenopause is the transition before menopause when hormone levels begin to change. It often starts between ages 35 and 45 and can last 4–10 years.
Early signs many women overlook:
💜 Sudden sleep problems
💜 Shorter or irregular cycles
💜 New anxiety or mood changes
💜 Brain fog
💜 Changes in weight or metabolism
These changes are common, but they aren’t something you just have to “push through.” Early conversations with your doctor can help you understand what your body is doing and how to support it.

Dr. Wilder's tips for aging brilliantly 👇
There’s a lot of noise around longevity right now. According to Dr. Wilder, the answer isn’t in chasing trends, it's in returning to the fundamentals of what works.
The biggest drivers of healthy aging are still the simplest:
💜 Move your body
💜 Build strength
💜 Protect your sleep
💜 Support your metabolic health
💜 Stay connected to people and purpose
These habits may not be flashy, but they’re powerful because they compound over time.
The goal isn’t just to live longer. It’s to live well for as long as possible.

Tired of boring and unfilling salads? Try these tips ⬇️🥗
If you’re feeling hungry an hour after eating a salad, it’s missing the functional layers that turn simple greens into a complete, blood-sugar-balancing meal.
Here are the 3 quick secrets to building a delicious, nutrient-dense bowl at home:
🥕 Upgrade your functional toppings: Go beyond veggies. Toss in ground flaxseeds for fiber, fermented kraut for gut health, pumpkin seeds for magnesium, and beets for a natural nitric oxide boost.
🫒 Never skip the dressing: High-quality extra virgin olive oil is essential. It helps your body absorb the fat-soluble vitamins and antioxidants in your greens. Skip the inflammatory seed oils like canola or soybean, and always reach for a clean olive oil base.
↻ Toss the base first: For chef-level flavor on busy days, toss your leafy greens in the dressing before adding your protein and toppings. Then, mix in fresh herbs like dill or mint to instantly elevate the taste.

Is your 10-step routine the real problem? 🧴🧴🧴
Sometimes more is just... more. You may see serums on social media promising decreased wrinkles, another for hydration, a toner, an exfoliant, a lotion for this or that and next thing you know, it takes you 20 minutes just to do your skincare routine.
When we overload our skin with too many active ingredients, we risk compromising the skin barrier. This results in unexpected breakouts, rosacea flare-ups, or stubborn dermatitis. If your skin is acting out, it’s time for a reset.
Noelle’s Pro-Tip: When in doubt, go back to the baseline.
Gentle cleanser 🧼
Hydrating moisturizer 💧
SPF (always!) ☀️
If you have goals for your skin but you’re not sure how to reach them, come see Noelle, our licensed esthetician, for a skincare reset.

What does it really mean to eat the rainbow? 🌈
In our latest Q&A, our Board Certified Functional Dietitian Dana Bosselmann explores the connection between the vibrant colors on your plate and the specific nutrients they provide.
The question: Does the color of food indicate the types of nutrients it contains?
The answer: Yes. The pigment of a fruit or vegetable is often a direct indicator of its unique phytonutrient profile. By "eating the rainbow," you ensure a broad spectrum of support for your body’s various systems.
Here's how:
🍅 Red (Tomatoes, Red Peppers): Contains lycopene, which is known to support heart health.
🥕 Orange & Yellow (Carrots, Squash): Rich in carotenoids, vital for immune function and vision.
🥦 Green (Leafy Greens, Broccoli): High in chlorophyll and compounds that support detoxification and bone health.
🍆 Blue & Purple (Blueberries, Eggplant): Rich in anthocyanins, which provide significant support for brain health.
🍄🟫 White & Brown (Garlic, Mushrooms): Contain unique compounds that support immune health and healthy cholesterol levels.
The takeaway: Diversity is key. Aim to include at least three different colors in every meal to maximize your nutrient intake.

When can you start Ozempic? 🤔
At LifeScape, that conversation is about more than just starting a medication. We’ll walk through the benefits and potential side effects, but that’s only one piece of the puzzle 🧩
What matters most to us is that you’re losing fat the right way. That means protecting your muscle, supporting your metabolism, and building habits that last beyond the prescription.
That’s why we often recommend incorporating strength training into your routine and working with our functional dietitian, Dana, to make sure you’re eating enough protein.
While weight loss may be your short term goal, we're here to support your long term health.
