You buy a good hydrating serum, you use it every day, and your skin still feels tight by the afternoon.
A lot of the time, it isn’t the product. It’s the timing.
Hydrating ingredients pull water into your skin. If you put them on bone-dry skin in a dry room, they can end up pulling moisture from deeper down instead of from the surface, which leaves you feeling tighter.
Try this instead. After you cleanse, apply your hydrating serum while your skin is still a little damp, then follow with your moisturizer to lock it in.
Such a small change for how much smoother it feels.
