Two photos of events I haven’t posted much about but am excited to share more of!
First photo is from my first time planning a styled shoot! At Events @ The Golf Club at Newcastle The Golf Club at Newcastle
Second photo is from a real wedding in San Francisco earlier in August at The Palace Hotel
And back in August British Vogue reached out to me asking if I wanted to advertise with them. I checked the internet and asked them questions to make sure it was legit and it is, so I said yes.
In December these two photos will be used for my ad, the first for print, the second for digital.
I’m tired of not taking risks in my business so why not try everything?
I can already hear my past self:
“It’s a waste of money”
“Nothing will come of it”
“Try something more stable”
I don’t disagree with any of it. But I’m also kinda tired of waiting for something to happen. My business is doing pretty well, let’s try something new.
First issue I’m participating in will be November, I’ll share when it’s out!
Is there such thing as a dumb question when you’re getting married?
For me, no. Please ask me as many questions as you want, whenever you want!
Chicago Wedding Photographer interesting reel but I’m not sure I agree on this with you. It technically *doesn’t* matter but our couples don’t know that. So I’d never say their question “doesn’t matter.”

There’s a magic about ferns and the PNW feel. It’s so unique in the world and one of the things I love most about the weddings in this area. I love seeing it incorporated into the day!
If you are planning to have greenery incorporated into your ceremony and reception, save this for inspo.
And have more giant ferns at weddings in general 🌿 they’re so cool!

Before I ever photographed weddings, I loved photojournalism.
I once spent four days taking photos of a tornado stricken area in Nashville in 2020 just weeks before covid shut the country down.
I spent every family holiday documenting as if I were being paid, because I wanted to remember it every time.
I photographed my family, local events like 5k runs, conferences, even my workplace.
I was drawn to real moments and stories — the kind you can only observe
The kind that reminds you every day that our life in unique
That’s why photography and weddings mean so much to me.
They hold so much of what is good:
love, connection, beauty, story
And getting to preserve those moments as they happen
will always feel like one of the most beautiful things in the world to me.
Nothing forced.
Nothing overdone.
Just people being themselves.
Because even myself now being divorced, I still remember so vividly the entire weekend of my wedding.
Not just one moment, but the feeling of the entire thing more than 10 years later.
And knowing that feeling, there’s nothing like it
That’s what I want my work to hold onto.
Not just how it looked, but how it felt.
