One of the things that surprised me most when I first began formulating skincare was how often dryness and dehydration are treated as the same thing.
Over the years, I've spoken to many women who were diligently moisturizing but still felt their skin was tight, uncomfortable, or lacking the healthy glow they were hoping for.
What I came to understand is that hydration is only one piece of the puzzle.
Your skin barrier naturally relies on protective lipids to help keep moisture where it belongs. When those become depleted, simply adding more hydration isn't always enough.
That's one of the reasons I became so passionate about face oils, and why I created a collection designed to bring targeted nourishment to different skin types.
I don't think of face oils as a replacement for moisturizer.
I think of them as the nourishment step.

For a long time I thought my skin just needed more hydration.
I tried different products that promised it, and they would work for a while… but it never really stayed. By the afternoon my skin would feel off again, and I couldn’t figure out why.
When I started formulating, I realized I was looking at it the wrong way.
It wasn’t just about hydration but also about helping the skin actually hold onto it.
Most moisturizers do the first part well, but they don’t always support the second. That’s where oils come in and they made a real difference for me.
They help reinforce the skin barrier, so hydration doesn’t escape as easily. And that’s when my skin started to feel calmer, softer, and less reactive throughout the day.
That’s the thinking behind Replenish Magixir. I originally created this face oil to support my own chronically dry, sensitive skin, and it’s still the one product I use daily (and the one most loved by you!).
