Today’s hair rescue mission!
A 16-year-old came in after attempting her own pixie cut at home on her long curly hair.… but only got partway in before realizing ‘uh oh’.
When she came in with her dad, they didn’t mention it at first. From a glance, I just saw long curly hair, but once we talked and I took a closer look, I understood the situation.
We talked through styles and decided to fully commit to the pixie.
During the haircut, she was nervous and kept checking if one side looked shorter than the other before I was even finished (totally understandable after a DIY haircut mission gone wrong 😂).
The BEST part?
The second I finished shaping her hair, her whole face lit up. she couldn’t stop smiling and kept saying how obsessed she was with her new look
I also suggested soft bangs instead of a middle part to frame her face better and give the style a softer, more feminine vibe .
Teenage years = experimenting, emotional moments, and occasionally attacking your own hair at 2am .
No judgment here… only hair rescue missions .
Moments like this are why I love what I do.
