Somewhere along the way, I went from dealing with serious business to debating whether almond or coffin looks better on someone’s fingers.

I promise you, this career path was NOT on my original bingo card. 😂

Outside of work, I’m a husband, a dog dad, a gym newbie pretending I know what I’m doing, and a professional overthinker.

I don’t have life figured out. I just keep going, laugh at myself, and hope my knees survive leg day. 💀

7 years ago…

Back then, I was wearing the uniform, working as a Correctional Officer, and getting recognized with an Employee Commendation Award. I was proud of the work I was doing, but I had no idea how much my life was about to change.

Seven years later, I look at this picture and realize how much can happen in such a short time. Different career, different chapter, different goals… but still the same me, just with a lot more headache 🤕 and a completely different work uniform. 😂💅

Life really does take you places you never expected.

Correctional Officer Nhan Tu was presented an Employee Commendation Award Friday because his quick actions and rapid decision making resulted in the discovery a fellow officer actively being assaulted by an inmate. He was able to call for assistance and prevent further injury to the officer. Congratulations and excellent work Correctional Officer Tu!
