Double cleansing: skincare trend or dermatologist-approved tip? 👀

According to Kenny Padron, NP-C, the answer depends on your skin and your routine.

While not everyone needs to double cleanse, it may be beneficial if you:
✔️ Wear makeup
✔️ Reapply sunscreen throughout the day
✔️ Use multiple skincare products
✔️ Feel like your cleanser isn't fully removing buildup

Kenny recommends starting with an oil-based cleanser to help break down sunscreen, makeup, and excess oil. Apply it to a dry face, massage for a couple of minutes, then add a little water to emulsify before rinsing.

Follow that with a water-based cleanser to remove any remaining residue and leave your skin feeling clean and refreshed.

The most important thing to remember? Skincare isn't one-size-fits-all. What works for someone else may not be what your skin needs.
