Microblading 💥 It’s been far too long since I’ve posted some before and after brow pics! This client had very little eyebrow hair and what she did have was very light. She is so excited to not have to worry about her brows when she leaves the house anymore!

BLONDES: I always tell my light brown/blond clients this - “you will freak out at how dark they are at first, I promise they will lighten”. Brows always look 20-40% darker and thicker right when they are done vs when they are fully healed, and blondes have it worse. The pigment oxidizes so the color you see now will be different then the healed pigment underneath. Think of how a scab looks when it’s healing - it is dark scratch at first, then the scab is even darker as it’s healing, then when the scab falls off the mark on skin underneath is much lighter than the scab was. The healing process for Microblading is a very similar concept! Trust the process

As you can see after the mapping was done, her left eyebrow naturally sits farther over which leaves more open space to fill in than the right brow. This is common and something I communicate with the client before we get started. When one side has less hair it will look less dense when Microbladed then the side with more hair. We can always try and add more strokes at the touch up after seeing how it heals.

Also remember they brows look 20-40% darker immediately after the appointment and over the next several days. Blondes have this even worse because the pigment oxidizes and not only looks darker but also a warmer color then how it will be healed. Don’t worry, they WILL lighten and soften once healed.

Absolutely love this before and after. Instant eye lift! She had old permanent make up and Microblading done (not by me) that was not the correct shape for her face. Thankfully it had faded out enough for us to correct them and we will let a few areas continue to fade over time. You may notice some of the old faded work still showing outside of her new brows, which we did on purpose. We shaped them to be symmetrical to her face and where they should be.

• BROW CORRECTION •

This is a great example as to why I require a consultation when asked to do a touch up on other people’s work. All work is not created equal and a simple yearly touch is not always that simple. This client had old permanent make up done about 6 years ago (which she was happy with at the time), then got microblading done about 3 years ago and they changed her shape drastically (which she was not very happy with). All previous work was not done by me. As you can see, the head of her brows, the area closest to the nose, were far too big, one brow was closer in towards the nose then the other, the arches were not even and the brows had a very rounded look to them. I reshaped them to be symmetrical for her face and the shape she had desired. She knew she would have some of her old work showing outside her new brows and we both agreed this would look the best and to let those keep fading out.

You can also see the old pigments used on her have faded to a pinkish color. I see this often and it is due to the types of heavy metals used in some pigments. I use PhiBrow pigment which are higher quality and will not fade with this reddish/pink tone. It will just fade to a lighter color of what was originally done.
