I used to think I wasn’t someone who had rituals — just chaos, momentum, and getting through the day.

A few years ago, I met someone who introduced structure and steadiness into my life. Not control — but presence. And somewhere along the way, a ritual formed.

Now, when I don’t get to begin my morning the same way, I feel it in my body.

I recently listened to a conversation between Mel Robbins and Mark Nepo where he speaks about the difference between routines and rituals — routines get us through the day, but rituals are performed with presence and intention, they remind us why we’re here.

This season of returning to school, recommitting to my craft, and grounding myself in intention feels less like a routine… and much more like a ritual.

2025 had everything.
Adventure. Love. Heartbreak.
Weddings, graduations, laughter —
and more tears than I ever expected.

This year broke me open.
It showed me what I can survive.
I learned how to set boundaries
and how uncomfortable it is to actually keep them.

I learned to stop questioning my feelings.
To stop explaining them.
They don’t need fixing.
They’re allowed to exist.

I did some of the hardest things of my life —
mentally, physically, financially, professionally.
Some days felt impossible.
Some days felt worth it.

I leaned on my daughters, my people,
and my counselor (thank God for her).

2026 will bring more challenges — I know that.
But I also know this now:
I can stand on my own.
And I don’t have to do it alone.
