The last week and a half have been a blur, the kind that leaves you standing in the middle of your own hometown wondering how everything changed so fast. Watching our beautiful neighborhoods burn and seeing flames climb higher than the trees themselves is a kind of devastation that settles into your chest and stays there.

It’s been hard to post anything, knowing the loss and displacement so many families are facing. Some of our own clients, friends, and neighbors are living through the unimaginable, losing homes, losing businesses, losing the places that held their memories. Our hearts are with every single one of them.

And yet, even in the middle of all this heartbreak, Spokane showed its strength. Firefighters facing walls of flames, first responders working without rest, volunteers and everyday civilians stepping in wherever they could. The courage we witnessed was overwhelming.

Now comes the part that takes time, patience, and community: rebuilding. Rebuilding homes. Rebuilding connections and businesses. Rebuilding the neighborhoods that make Spokane feel like Spokane. We will do it together, one step, one day, one act of kindness at a time.
