If a client says they have a knot, I understand what they mean. Something hurts or feels tight , it often feels good to push on and they would like me to do that. However, I always let them know that there is no physical knots and they do not need to “work it out.” If a massage therapist or PT says I have knots, I don’t go back. Muscle knots are more about marketing for the therapist than anything wrong with your body!

We are back in our house and we have power! It’s amazing and I am so grateful for amazing work that went into this restoration. According to our utility company, this was the single largest construction project in our county—ever. Thank you to everyone who checked in and offered support. We are taking a day to rest without even thinking about the clean-up!

Storm Update: still no power and looking at another week of outage. The power company said “the devastation cannot be overstated.” The entire system in our district has to be rebuilt. After driving around yesterday I say I’ve never seen anything like this, and have I experienced Wisconsin blizzards and Michigan tornadoes! So much gratitude to all of the line workers working so hard.
