🌈Vivid care doesn’t have to be hard, and keeping your fun color doesn’t have to be complicate! Here’s some tips from Ronnie and Shelby on how to keep your bright and vibrant colors! Like a peacock! 🦚
1. 🧴Most shampoos will strip a vivid color right out within the first couple of washes. It’s important to find one that is SULFATE FREE and COLOR SAFE. These are more gentle on the hair and will help prevent color loss. Also wash your hair with cold water, as cold as you can stand it. Ronnie recommends cleaning a kitchen sink and flipping your head over to wash your hair.
2. 👒Wear a hat in the sun, Shelby’s found this the hard way when their color got stripped right from their hair after a camping trip. The sun will bleach and fade your color! Another way to prevent this is to spray a leave in treatment, preferably with UV protection, before sun exposure. It’s like a sunscreen for your color, but not 100% guaranteed to last.
3. 🛀Let your color set for the first 36-72 hours. With color, you’ll want to stretch your shampooing days, going 2-3 days between washes. Wear a shower cap to prevent your hair from unnecessarily getting wet in between, and utilize dry shampoo and texturize products to stretch your styles.
4. 🖍️Ask your stylist about color depositing shampoos and conditioners, these will deposit small amounts of pigment during your normal washing to keep your color vivid. This is mostly affective for people with a single color. Your stylist can also help you find ways to keep individual colors bright between your appointments!
5. 🗓️Ask your stylist how often you should come into the salon, as times vary based on your day to day schedule and maintenance schedule. Color refreshes are typically 4-6 weeks apart, and scalp bleaches are recommended every 4-5 weeks
6. 🪩 Chat with your stylist! Don’t be afraid to ask questions, life and color are a journey and Ronnie and Shelby are so excited to help see you on that path!

Another super layered fluffy haircut. My client asked me today what the difference was between a butterfly cut and layers, and I told her someone just gave a name to a pretty haircut that wasn’t very new. People love giving multiple names to the same thing. That being said, your stylist should do deeper digging to find out what YOUR version of a butterfly cut is, and what suits your own preferences.

Pink pop princess with the AC/DC shirt 🤘🎸💞🌸
She came in with a natural blonde and pink underside done. She was looking for just more, more pop, more dramatic, more pink.
So that’s what we did, we lightened with Redken blonde iq to get that perfect lift, before going in with a Pulp Riot Hair Color exoplanet and Cupid mix to really make it pop.
I was so so happy either way the color results, and a little trim and some layers later, and we have this gorgeous pink hair with a ton of movement and shape.
