The more I learn about permanent makeup, the more I’m leaning into one thing: softness. 🤎

For these brows, I created nano hair strokes throughout most of the brow and added just a little bit of shading underneath the arch to give her a more polished, defined look without taking away from that natural hair-stroke finish.

She naturally had more spaced-out brows, so I intentionally spaced the strokes a little farther apart instead of clustering a bunch together. Nano strokes do soften and expand slightly as they heal, and I never want them healing into one another and losing that individual hair-stroke look.

We also gave her a little more structure underneath the brow, which will make it much easier for her to maintain them at home and know exactly where to pluck those stray hairs.

The biggest thing I’m constantly thinking about now is not just, “How does this look today?” but how is this going to heal, and how is it going to look years from now?

At the end of the day, permanent makeup is still a tattoo — but the goal is for it to heal as soft and natural as possible, not look like one.

For these nano brows, I used HANAFY Hanafy Hair Stroke pigments 1&2, which are designed to heal softer and less opaque for a more natural, fluffy result over time.

✨ The secret to dimensional blonde? Sometimes it’s what you DON’T foil! ✨

I recently had a friend ask me what color I use for my blondes and if I add lowlights to create all that dimension.

The answer? No lowlights! 🙌🏼

The way I personally foil, I intentionally leave a good amount of my client’s natural hair between highlights. Why? Because I want their natural color to act as the lowlight!

This creates beautiful, natural dimension without having to add another color into the hair.

Now, here’s something I always keep in mind…

When someone has been getting highlights for years, it’s almost inevitable that their ends will become lighter and more solid blonde over time. That’s just the nature of repeatedly lightening hair!

BUT 👏🏼 I always make it a priority to preserve dimension throughout the mids so that even if those ends become brighter, the overall look never feels overly blonde or washed out.

To me, a beautiful blonde isn’t just about how light I can get someone. It’s about where I place the lightness and, just as importantly, where I leave their natural depth.

Sometimes the prettiest dimension is the color you already have. 🤍

✨ NANO BROWS ✨

If you love the look of natural, fluffy brows but still want the convenience of waking up with them already done… nano brows might be exactly what you’re looking for. 🤎

Nano brows are created using a tattoo machine and an ultra-fine needle to create individual hair-like strokes throughout the brow. Unlike traditional microblading, nano strokes are created with a machine rather than a blade, which means less trauma to the skin and makes this technique suitable for a wider variety of skin types.

One of my favorite things about nano brows is how customizable they are. We can create:

🤎 Soft, airy fronts
🤎 Fuller areas where your natural brow is sparse
🤎 A more defined shape while still keeping it natural
🤎 Hair strokes that follow your individual growth pattern
🤎 Nano shading if you want a little extra density through the body and tail

And remember — freshly done nano strokes will look darker and more defined at first. As they heal, they soften beautifully for a much more natural result.
