Six weeks later...

When I’m testing and evaluating a nail polish, I'm looking at more than whether it's chipped or not.

I'm looking at the overall wear... the shine... the edges... how it held up through everyday life.

It's not uncommon for polish to lose some of its shine over time, that’s why many people refresh it with another layer of top coat.

This test formula has now gone six weeks without anything added, and I have to admit... it's given me a reason to keep exploring it.

Looking back at these photos makes me smile.

At the time, I was experimenting with pigments and testing formulas, trying to see what was possible.

I wasn't creating a collection color. In fact, I wasn't even sure
Y A N A ™ would return.

Somewhere in the process, Mint Chip was created.

The funny part? I never wrote down the formula.

When I decided to bring Mint Chip back for the
Y A N A™ relaunch, I had to recreate it from scratch using old photos, memory, and a lot of experimentation.
