A quick photo dump from a recent trip back to Vietnam. 🇻🇳

I wasn’t born or raised there, but my heart will always hold a special place for the motherland.

To be honest, this wasn’t the easiest trip, nor was it meant to be a vacation. Adjusting to a completely different environment and lifestyle after living in America for so long was difficult at times. We were mostly in the countryside; hot, humid, and sunny every single day. I was constantly sweating and counting down the days until I could return home to the U.S.

But despite all of that, there was still something beautiful about it.

This part of Vietnam isn’t a growing city, a tourist destination, or a luxury getaway. Poverty is real and visible everywhere you look. Yet in the middle of it all, there’s a quiet beauty that can’t be ignored: The beaches, old fishing boats, coconut trees, exotic fruit, mountains, and soft white sand. That’s the beauty of my motherland.

After two weeks, I couldn’t wait to come back home, but I also found myself appreciating the things I know I’ll never get to experience in America.

This trip gave me time to reflect on life, family, gratitude, and grace. It reminded me how fortunate I am for the opportunities America has given me, while also recognizing that this reality isn’t the same for many people living in third-world countries.

A humbling trip, but one I know I’ll always carry with me.

Brows were done elsewhere. Took her a long time until she had the courage to get them re-done (fixed). We were both very happy with the results. Having discolored brows can make your face look very pale, lethargic, not lively and older than age.
