Yes, you cannnn just cut your hair π€·πΎββοΈ
My beautiful client came in wanting easier hair. She was tired yall, so we went ahead and made her short hair dreams come true.
She booked the Curly Cut package, which included a scalp exfoliation, chelating treatment to remove hard water mineral buildup, multiple shampoos, a deep conditioning treatment, haircut and style!
[I/we don't want to hear your "too short" comments lol...do you and we will do we! Love ya! π]
Let me say this clearly β the same style will never look the same on two different people. Even with identical products and a similar curl pattern, your results will always be unique to you. And that's actually a beautiful thing.
Curl pattern and products matter. But what ALWAYS matters even MORE is preparation β how you shampoo and condition your hair. Your hair must be properly hydrated and moisturized before you ever touch a styling product. That's not optional. That's the foundation. Because if your hair isn't ready to receive the product, none of it matters.
This is exactly why I tell my clients: the wash-n-go is one of the hardest styles to master. So if you've been struggling β you are not alone, and you are not doing anything wrong.
Before you go down a rabbit hole buying every gel and brush you see online know those tools are not miracle workers. Healthy hair is the miracle worker. And healthy hair is absolutely achievable for you.
Come see me or find a professional in your area who can assess what your hair needs and help you get there. You don't have to figure this out alone.
Every wash-n-go is different. Keep your eyes on yours β and trust the process.

Please don't be mad at me but, it's giving obsession. And not the good kind.
Women will walk around with split, scraggly, damaged ends β just to say their hair is "long." Will sit in a professional's chair, get professional advice, and walk right out the door and ignore every word of it. All in the name of length.
And listen β if your mom was a Boomer like mine, you probably grew up hearing that short hair wasn't cute on women. But you know what's really not cute? Heat damage. Scraggly ends. Having to hide your hair under a wig in July because it's too damaged to be seen.
Let's talk about what actually choosing hair health looks like:
- Cutting your split ends β yes, actually cutting them
- Washing weekly β even if your style still looks cute, your scalp doesn't care
- Investing in a quality shampoo & conditioner β this is non-negotiable
- Stepping back from bleach and permanent color (not required but ideal for max results)
- Reducing tension on your hair
- Drinking more water
- Improving iron and vitamin D deficiencies
- Seeing a dermatologist if needed
- Putting down the edge controls and braid gels β the ones loaded with alcohol and toxins that are literally snatching our babies' edges before they even hit puberty
I say this with love. But you cannot come to a professional with a goal of waist-length hair when you won't maintain what's already on your head. More hair means more maintenance β full stop.
Stop chasing length. Start building health. The length will come AND MORE- shine, fuIlness, and manageability. It always doesπ€
Let's talk about using clarifying shanpoos- properly!
If you didn't know, let me be the first to tell you that when you wash your hair, you should ALWAYS shampoo the hair twice. The first shampoo removes the buildup, clearing the way for the second shampoo that's actually penetrating the strands.
If you are washing your hair every week and still experiencing dryness, it could be because of how you're washing your hair or what you're washing your hair with.

So proud of all the women trying to manage their natural hair after years of ignoring it! I know it's tricky, but I'm here to help!
Here are a few tips for your next washngo. Now, keep in mind this is my method, and it should:
1. Be done on clean and very well conditioned hair
2. Last approximately 5-7 days depending on your frizz tolerance
3. NOT get wet in the shower or be "refreshed" with water/leave-in; it will just get frizzy
