Kids were cruel growing up. I know exactly what it feels like to be the kid nobody sat with, the one who got left out and talked about for no real reason.

Now I’m watching my daughter go through her own version of it, and it’s a different kind of hard when it’s your kid.

If they could just see her true goofy self, the one who tackle hugs me mid pickleball game and laughs at absolutely nothing, they’d know exactly what they’re missing out on.

She is so much more than the version some kids have decided to see. She’s funny, she’s weird in the best way, she’s fully herself when she doesn’t have her guard up.

I know that firsthand because I spent years learning to stop shrinking too.I refuse to let her spend any of it believing she’s anything less than amazing. Anyone should be so lucky to call her a friend 🫶🏼
