Meet Jess ✨

Most of you haven’t met Jess, because she’s usually working behind the scenes, helping keep everything at Heightened Aesthetics running smoothly.

Before joining the team, Jess spent more than 16 years in the technology industry as a Systems Engineer and Project Manager, building a career around solving problems, managing projects, and bringing order to chaos. When she stepped away from her corporate career to focus on raising her family, she was looking for something that would allow her to keep learning, growing, and connecting with people while maintaining the flexibility that mattered most to her.

She joined me in 2024 and quickly became an essential part of the business. Officially, she’s our office manager. Unofficially she wears all the hats.

From managing projects and organizing operations to coordinating logistics, keeping me on schedule, and even tackling the tasks no one else wants to do, Jess does it all. There is truly no job too big or too small.

As a small business owner, having someone you trust completely is invaluable, and I honestly don’t know what I’d do without her.

Before & After: Periorbital Rejuvenation Using the Fern Pattern Technique

These etched lateral canthal lines, often referred to as crow’s feet, are caused by a combination of repetitive muscle movement and age-related changes within the skin itself.

Neuromodulators such as Botox, Dysport, or Daxxify are excellent at relaxing the underlying orbicularis oculi muscle and helping prevent these lines from deepening. However, when lines become etched into the dermis and remain visible at rest, muscle relaxation alone may not be enough.

The treatment shown here utilizes the fern pattern technique, developed by Tom van Eijk. Using a high G-prime hyaluronic acid filler, tiny linear threads are placed within the dermis in a branching pattern that supports the skin from within. Unlike traditional volumizing filler treatments, the goal is not to create fullness, but rather to strengthen the dermal framework, soften etched lines, and improve the way light reflects off the skin.

This technique is particularly useful for mature skin where collagen loss and dermal thinning contribute to persistent wrinkling, even after neuromodulator treatment.

Natural movement. No overfilling. Just thoughtful structural support where the skin needs it most.

Meet Vanessa 🌿

Many of you have already spoken with Vanessa by text, phone, or when arriving for your appointment, but I’d like to formally introduce her.

Vanessa was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area and graduated magna cm laude from the University of South Florida. She and her husband, Jeremy, are raising two beautiful daughters and share their home with plenty of plants, pets, and books. She’s a self-proclaimed cat person who also happens to love dogs.

As our Patient Experience Coordinator, Vanessa helps create the experience our patients have come to expect at Heightened Aesthetics. She coordinates scheduling and patient communication, manages countless administrative tasks behind the scenes, keeps our indoor and outdoor plants thriving, and somehow always knows when someone could use a snack, a bottle of water, or a helping hand.

If you’ve noticed a smooth scheduling experience, a warm welcome when you walk through the door, a well-stocked office, or healthy plants throughout the space, there’s a good chance Vanessa had something to do with it.

I am incredibly grateful to have her as part of our team. She helps keep everything running smoothly so I can focus on patient care, and she does it all with kindness, patience, and genuine attention to detail.
