Differing Perspectives during the discussions of cure at this meeting!
But is the experience too powerful for “cure” to apply?
Often the biology and the lived experience diverge. A person can be biologically cured and still carry fear of recurrence, scanxiety, and altered identity. Another can have active disease and live fully.
The research on survivorship (fear of recurrence, post-traumatic growth, the “new normal”) suggests the healthiest stance isn’t optimism or pessimism, but tolerating uncertainty and carrying it without letting it run the show.

Day 2
1). Don’t let go of the potato! Don’t give up!
2). SOFE-M in PROC, ORR >60%! Wow!
3). Avutometinib + Defactinib in LGSOC, KRASwt patients with RR 18-22%
4). in Tokyo!
5). Fall weather 😊🇨🇦. Back to 90 degrees today 😬
6). Yep, patients and oncologists sometimes feel like we are on a “tightrope or hanging on a trapeze. But look how strong we can be if we just hang on ❤️👏💪

Day 1
1- Immunotherapy in endometrial cancer, long term follow up with an increase in the number of complete responses. The effect of the treatment is long lasting!
2- Biomarkers of response in low grade serous ovarian cancer patients
3- Ubamatamab is a MUC16xCD3 bispecific antibody, showing promising effects in low grade serous ovarian cancer patients, up to 70%+ response rate! Excited to see this explored in a phase 3 trial.
4- And Montréal 😊🇨🇦with friend and colleague Rebecca Clyde
5- I am co-author on this paper of real-world experiences of ovarian cancer patients on mirvetuximab. Seeing comparable and equivalent results in patients using this medication outside of a clinical trials setting. This is especially important being that the real world patient is higher risk and includes patients that would not have been allowed on clinical trial.
Excited to have these opportunities for the patients

Got to keep innovating in cancer treatment!
Areas of need:
1-While we are seeing more long-term survivors than ever, there is still an unmet need to help those that don’t have as good outcomes. For example, in those with advanced endometrial or cervical cancer that don’t respond in immunotherapy or those with advanced ovarian cancer that don’t respond to maintenance therapy.
2-Toxicity management! Neuropathy, hair loss, fatigue, how can we do better?
3-Management of recurrent disease and sequencing of novel agents
4-Early detection and or prevention
Thankful for generous donations to support the science 🙏👏❤️ As federal dollars dwindle, this is more important than ever.

Highlights from our recent publication:
Real-world ADC outcomes evaluated in underrepresented gynecologic cancer patients.
No independent survival differences by race, ethnicity, or age after adjustment.
ECOG and ethnicity were associated with OS in univariate analysis.
Treatment line was associated with PFS outcomes with mirvetuximab.
ADC effectiveness was consistent with results from pivotal clinical trials.
