✨ **A LITTLE REINTRODUCTION & THE HEART BEHIND AURA LIGHT APOTHECARY** ✨

We've had so many new faces join our little corner of the world over the past few months, and I figured it was time to introduce myself again and share a little bit about how Aura Light Apothecary came to be. 💚

Hi! I'm Natalie, the owner, creator, candle pourer, product maker, occasional chaos coordinator, and the heart behind Aura Light Apothecary.

Almost four years ago, Aura Light started in the basement of my home. Just me, some candle-making supplies, a whole lot of ideas, and absolutely no clue just how much this little dream would grow.

But the story really starts before that.

For almost 20 years, I worked in Emergency Medical Services, first as an EMT and then as a Paramedic. It was a career that taught me so much about life, people, compassion, and the importance of showing up for others. But somewhere along the way, I realized that while I had spent so many years taking care of everyone else, I had forgotten how important it was to take care of myself, too.

I began discovering the importance of slowing down, being present, and creating intentional moments in everyday life.

And that became my **why**.

I didn't want to just make candles. I wanted to create something that reminded people to pause. To breathe. To reconnect with themselves. To understand that taking care of yourself isn't selfish, and that even the smallest moments of peace can make a difference.

That little basement business slowly grew into something much bigger than I ever imagined.

And almost one year ago, I made one of the biggest and scariest decisions of my life. I walked away from my nearly 20-year career in EMS to open the doors of Aura Light Apothecary.

Was I terrified? ABSOLUTELY. 😂

But I knew I wanted to build something meaningful.

Today, every candle and body product we create is handcrafted from scratch right here in our shop studio. We take pride in creating vegan products with thoughtfully selected ingredients, made with intention and a whole lot of love.

But Aura Light has grown into so much more than candles and body care.

It's a place where you'll find crystals, jewelry, unique gifts, and beautiful creations from local artists and makers. It's a place where we gather for workshops, learn something new, get a little creative, and sometimes have conversations we didn't even realize we needed.

It's a place where strangers become familiar faces, and familiar faces become friends.

**Because somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn't just building a business. I was building a community.**

And that, more than anything, is what makes this journey so special.
