I shared this video of my hospice client, with my client’s permission and consent to share this photo and post, because I wanted to shed light on a side of massage therapy that doesn’t get nearly enough attention.

Not every session is about fixing pain, improving mobility, or achieving physical results. Sometimes, it’s simply about providing comfort, compassion, human connection, and a gentle touch during one of life’s most vulnerable transitions.

Working with hospice clients has reminded me just how powerful our hands can be, even when there is nothing left to fix.

That’s why I’ve decided to volunteer my time to provide complimentary hospice massage to individuals in need throughout Ocean and Monmouth Counties.

I believe everyone deserves dignity, comfort, and compassionate care at the end of life, regardless of their financial circumstances.

My hope in sharing this video is not only to reach families who may benefit from these services, but also to inspire other massage therapists to consider giving back in whatever capacity they can.

Sometimes, the greatest impact we make as therapists has nothing to do with technique and everything to do with simply being present.
