Went you finally find Christian music you can actually workout to. I’m no workout expert, I’m not “fit”, I’m not perfect, but if I don’t show up for myself than who else will?

Naptime hits and I hit a midday brick wall. I really solely on caffeine and Jesus. 🙏

Happy Father’s Day to the man who bends over backwards, sacrifices so much, works endless days, creates magic and memories, the man we call Dad in our home. We love you and are so beyond blessed to have you. 🤍

When I found out I was pregnant I was still working full time as a solo esthetician. I didn’t know what life would look like once baby arrived and I went back to work. I very quickly realized just how difficult it was to play a juggling act. But I told myself I could do it. I could do it all. I could have my career and be a mom and be a wife and take care of myself and take care of my home. I could do it all.

But that’s not what God wants for us. We were never meant to be alone. We were never meant to carry so much.

I believed if I left my career I would be leaving myself. I would be disappointing my clients, my family, my friends, myself.

But then I realized how I must be disappointing God by trying to take it all on. And a dear friend of mine spoke words that became embedded in my soul.

“You will NEVER get these precious years back”

I couldn’t shake it. I couldn’t let go of those words.

We moved into a more affordable place about 7 months ago and it gave me the freedom to step back.

We don’t live in the biggest house. It’s not aesthetic in any way. There’s unfinished projects everywhere you turn. It’s on a large property that is very run down.

But my son has the freedom to run. He has the ability to be a boy and thrive in his boyhood. The pressure was lifted off of mine and my husbands shoulders. That’s worth it.

If you are somebody who is in the thick of the struggle you’re not alone. Remember social media is a place where you see only what others want you to see.

I’ve been trying my best to take the filter off of my life. To share bits and pieces of my life that aren’t perfect, aren’t aesthetic, aren’t the prettiest. But it’s real, it’s honest, it’s vulnerable, and it’s worth it.
