So, how does laser tattoo removal work? 👀

Laser tattoo removal uses concentrated pulses of light to break tattoo pigment into tiny particles. Your body’s immune system then gradually works to clear those particles over time.

And here’s something many people don’t realize: Your tattoo continues to fade for weeks after your treatment!

🖤Which ink colors are easiest to remove?

Not all tattoo colors respond the same way!

🖤 Black and dark inks: Generally the easiest to remove because they absorb laser energy effectively.

❤️ Red ink: Often responds well to laser tattoo removal with the appropriate wavelength.

💙 Blue and green inks: Can be more stubborn and may require specialized wavelengths.

💛 Yellow, white, and lighter pigments: Typically the most challenging to remove and may not respond as predictably.

⏳ How many sessions will I need?

Tattoo removal is a journey, and patience is key!

✨ Most tattoos require approximately 6–12 sessions, although some may require fewer or more.

✨ Sessions are typically spaced 6–8 weeks apart, sometimes longer, to allow proper healing and continued ink clearance.

✨ The number of treatments depends on several factors, including:

* Tattoo age and location
* Ink color and saturation
* Professional vs. amateur ink
* Skin type
* Your body’s individual response

✨ ERBIUM LASER RESURFACING | DAY 4 AFTER TREATMENT #2 ✨

Erbium laser resurfacing is one of my favorite treatments for improving skin texture, acne and other superficial scarring, fine lines, sun damage, uneven pigmentation, enlarged pores, and overall skin quality.

The laser creates a controlled injury to the skin, triggering the natural healing process and stimulating cellular renewal and collagen remodeling. This means improvement continues even after the skin looks healed.

What should you expect?

Downtime: Depending on the intensity of your treatment, expect approximately 3–7 days of social downtime. Redness, swelling, a sunburn-like sensation, dryness, flaking/peeling, and a rough or bronzed appearance can occur during healing. Pinkness may persist longer with more aggressive treatments.

How many treatments? This is customized to your skin and goals. Some patients may see meaningful improvement after one treatment, but a series is often recommended when treating concerns such as scarring, texture, pigmentation, or more significant sun damage. For many patients, 2–3 treatments may be a reasonable starting treatment plan, with deeper concerns potentially requiring additional sessions.

We’re already seeing improvement in the appearance of her pigmentation, texture, scarring, and overall tone, with continued collagen remodeling still to come over the following weeks and months.

Erbium isn’t about chasing an overnight transformation. It’s about progressively improving the quality and health of the skin while allowing your own healing response to do the work.

Treatment depth, downtime, number of sessions, and results vary by patient. Consultation and skin assessment are required to determine the appropriate treatment plan. 💗
