🥈 YSL – Delivers the most luxurious healthy glow and beautifully smooths the look of fine lines. I rated it 4.5/5 because it’s more expensive, only available in Asia, and comes in a limited shade range.

If you’re in the U.S. or looking for more shade options, the new YSL Skin Affair Soft Glow Cushion Foundation may be a better alternative.

✨ Trying a High-End Cushion Foundation... Is It Worth It? ✨

I’ve been trying the Yves Saint Laurent Skin Affair Soft Glow Cushion Foundation, and I can see why it’s becoming one of my favorite high-end cushion foundations.

This serum-infused cushion foundation delivers buildable medium coverage with a lightweight, breathable feel. Infused with Squalane, Niacinamide, and Polyglutamic Acid (PGA), it helps keep my skin hydrated while making my pores look less noticeable. The amino acid-coated pigments also melt beautifully into the skin for a natural, soft glow.

I have to admit... I used way too much in this video! 😅 I had to use a clean puff to tap off the excess, but once I did, my skin looked radiant without exaggerating my pores.

Would I recommend it? Yes—especially if you have combination to dry skin and love a glowy, skin-like finish. It’s not an oil-control foundation, but I actually enjoy wearing it because it keeps my skin looking dewy without emphasizing my fine lines or pores.

Compared to other Western high-end cushion foundations, I also think it’s reasonably priced. I bought mine in Japan, but it’s actually made in Korea, which makes me wonder... could there be one of the best cushion foundations from K-Beauty that’s a perfect dupe? Stay tuned! 💕
