Have you checked the mail today? 😅

Mailbox Peak in North Bend, WA is a crazy hike with 4,000 feet of elevation gain! I went up the old trail (because I like torturing myself) and down the new. I think I need a massage this time. Sad there were no views today. 🌥

Reason #3 to get a massage: Reduce anxiety!

Massage has profound effects on the body-mind connection. It can help lower cortisol levels - the hormone commonly known for fight-or-flight. Highly demanding jobs, responsibilities, families, relationships can all cause us to continually release cortisol to deal with these stressors. Our bodies can't handle the constant flooding of this hormone and eventually we crash.

Massage is a great way to slow down and allow our nervous system to regulate itself.

Massage for Mental Health | AMTA Research supports the positive impact of massage therapy for relieving stress, anxiety, and depression.

Me: Just my shoulders and neck. Also my hips and low back. And my legs. But I have been walking so my feet too.
