It’s been almost 13 years since you passed and today I’m really missing you Dad.
You loved talking about world history, the planets snd science, and then we’d watch a vampire movie or a Three Stooges movie together. You were my biggest cheerleader when you were alive. Your hands would be moving and swirling in the air whenever you told a story! Now and then I’ll get a painful memory of you and the Father wound opens up, like today. And then all at once I want to see you, hug you, and YELL at you. So many mixed feelings I’ve had to learn to unpack and heal from.
Unresolved childhood trauma was one of the legacies you left us. I don’t resent you anymore and I’m so grateful for that healing, finally.
The influence and love that you left in my soul is a mix of deep curiosity and love of people, a love of music, so much humor, knowing that kindness is not a weakness, and an inner strength and desire to always be learning.
Thank you for these gifts Dad and I’ll see you in the cosmos one day🌎🪐🌈❤️
