This morning, again, reminded me that God can use a business for so much more than the service it provides.
I stopped by Patrick’s new restaurant Foodies Shore Drive, thinking I was just grabbing breakfast. Instead, I watched him use his business as ministry.

He was about to welcome a large group of foster children into his doors, he didn’t just think about feeding them. He also thought about their hearts. He realized the girls needed someone to connect with as well, and as a woman of faith, who too had a troubled childhood, he quickly asked if I would stay to spend time with the girls, encourage them, and share the love of God with them. In my camo comfy clothes, I realized God didn’t lead me there for breakfast, he led me there for work.

And as I’ve had time to think of how this morning played out, it presented a question. How often do business owners ask God not just to bless your business, but to use it?
As business owners, we’ve been entrusted with more than buildings, chairs, tables, tools, or customers. We’ve been entrusted with influence. Every day, people walk through our doors carrying stories we’ll never fully know. Some are grieving. Some are lonely. Some are searching for hope. Some have never experienced the love of Christ.
What if businesses became places where people left feeling more seen than when they arrived?

Patrick, thank you for your willingness to let God interrupt the normal rhythm of your business. Thank you for recognizing that ministry doesn’t only happen inside the walls of a church. It happens around restaurant tables, behind barber chairs, across coffee counters, in gyms, offices, and every place where God’s people choose to make room for Him.

To my fellow business owners who love Jesus, let’s keep asking God how He wants to use what He’s entrusted to us. Our businesses aren’t just our livelihood, they’re part of our mission field.
May we never become so focused on serving customers that we forget to serve people.
God can do far more through our businesses than we could ever build on our own. ❤️

✨ You’re invited to the Grand Opening of Harvest Barber Co. ✨
Three weeks ago, Harvest quietly opened its doors in a soft opening to bless the space.
Since then, every haircut, every conversation, every prayer over these chairs has reminded me why God placed this dream on my heart.
Now it’s time to officially celebrate what he’s helped me create in this space!

📍 4505 Columbus St. Unit 111, Suite 122, Virginia Beach, VA 23462
🗓 Friday, July 31
🕡 6:30 PM

This isn’t so much a party as it is an open house! Come cut the ribbon with me, walk through the space, say hello, pray with me, meet my family who helped build these walls, enjoy some light refreshments, and see what Harvest is all about!

This shop was built to be more than a haircut, crafted with purpose. A place where people feel seen, encouraged, and cared for from the moment they walk through the door.

Whether you’ve been in my chair for years, visited during the soft opening, or haven’t stopped by yet, I’d love to see you there!
Thank you for believing in this dream and for being part of the beginning of something that means so much to me. 🤍

It’s hard to put into words what today means.
As I close this chapter at The Fade Game, I can honestly say I believe with my whole heart that God placed me here on purpose. Before Harvest Barber Co. was ever a dream becoming reality, he knew exactly where I needed to be, and that place was here.
The Fade Game has been so much more than the place I cut hair. It’s been a place of growth, stretching, refining, laughter, friendships, and preparation.
Al () thank you. Thank you for believing in me, encouraging me, and never letting me settle. You’ve challenged me in ways that weren’t always comfortable, but the greatest leaders are willing to call people higher instead of simply keeping them comfortable. You’ve pushed me to grow not only as a barber, but as a business owner and as a person. Looking back, I can see that so much of what God was preparing me for started within these walls.
Your support has been one of the pillars that helped turn what once felt like a distant dream into the reality I’m about to step into.
Leaving is bittersweet. I’ll miss this shop, the people, the conversations, and the memories that were made here more than words can express.
As I step into opening Harvest Barber Co., I do so with an overwhelming amount of gratitude. Gratitude for God’s faithfulness, for every lesson learned, for every challenge that shaped me, and for the people he strategically placed in my life along the way.
The harvest is plentiful… and I’m walking into the next season with a full heart.
Thank you, . You’ll always be part of my story. ❤️
