🌻 SMALL BUSINESS SHOUTOUT! 🍞🤍
One of my favorite things about owning a small business is getting to support other small businesses, especially when they’re run by some pretty amazing people!
My sweet client Lacey dropped off this BEAUTIFUL loaf of homemade sourdough today, and let me tell you… this girl has a GIFT! 🙌🏼
All organic, made from scratch, made with love, and absolutely DELICIOUS! Just look at that bread! 😍
There’s something special about supporting someone who pours their heart into what they create. As a small business owner myself, I know the time, care, and attention to detail that goes into doing something well. And Lacey, you knocked it out of the park!
So here’s your reminder to SHOP SMALL, SUPPORT LOCAL, and CHEER EACH OTHER ON! 🌻
….and if you want some amazing sourdough, let me know or comment “bread”, I’ll get ya connected! 🥖👩🏼🍳🤍
Lacey, thank you for sharing your talent (and your delicious sourdough!) with me! You’ve got something special, girl! 🥰

From behind the chair to behind the wallpaper… 😂🌿
What started as a little bathroom refresh turned into painting, measuring, drilling, hanging a 30-inch mirror with NO instructions, and testing both my patience and my stellar “math skills!” 🤣
And THEN came the wallpaper.
Let’s just say peel-and-stick sounds a whole lot easier than it actually is! Especially when your walls are crooked and you and your mom have two completely different opinions about how to tackle a corner! 😂
Spoiler alert: We survived. So did the wallpaper. And we’re still speaking! ❤️
But somewhere between the paintbrushes, the power tools, and the endless decision-making, this little bathroom became something I absolutely love.
The sage green. The floral wallpaper. A watercolor created from one of my own Hawaii photographs. A few carefully chosen details. And a whole lot of determination.
Then came the final touch.
A little Scripture plaque I already had in my salon, tucked in front of a plant.
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” — Romans 12:12
And isn’t that just a beautiful reminder?
Even in the ordinary, everyday spaces of life, there’s room for something that points us back to Him.
Because sometimes the finishing touch isn’t something new you buy. It’s something meaningful you already have. 🤍
And now, after all that work, I think I’ll just stand here and admire it.
At least until I find another project. 🤪

When you finish your last client, close the salon door… and the next project begins! 😂💪🏼
Yesterday I went from mixing color formulas, creating beautiful hair, and taking care of my clients to hanging a 30-inch mirror in my bathroom.
No instructions. No hardware. Just me, my tools, a little determination, some questionable decision-making, and my stellar “math skills!” 🤣📏
But you know what? I DID IT!
Apparently, when you spend your days creating transformations for other people, it’s hard to turn that creative brain off when the workday ends!
Hair transformations by day. Home renovations by night.
Same woman. Different tools. ✂️🔨
And YES, I stopped to celebrate my victory! 😂🙌🏼

“Who told you?”
I haven’t been able to get those three words out of my mind today.
This morning in Bible study, we were in Ephesians 2, talking about grace—grace that saves us, grace that changes us, and grace that sends us.
And then there is this:
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.” — Ephesians 2:10
His masterpiece.
I’ve thought about those words all day, and somehow they have made their way into almost every conversation with the women who have sat in my chair.
Because how desperately do we need to remember them?
We live in a world constantly telling us something about ourselves.
You’re not good enough.
You’re too much.
You’re not enough.
You failed.
You don’t measure up.
You should be ashamed.
You’re unlovable.
You’ll never change.
And our flesh is so quick to believe it.
But there is a question God asks in Genesis that has always stopped me:
“Who told you?”
God’s actual question to Adam was, “Who told you that you were naked?” But I can’t help hearing the invitation in those words still today.
Who told you that you weren’t worthy of love?
Who told you your failures were your identity?
Who told you shame got the final word?
Who told you that you had to earn your value?
Who told you that you weren’t enough?
Because our Creator says something entirely different.
You are His workmanship. His masterpiece. Created by Him and, in Christ, made new.
The picture in this post was created by my daughter years ago, and I have it framed in my salon. On the outside are all the things the world whispers—or sometimes shouts. And inside are reminders of what God says.
I see it every day.
But today I saw it again.
And maybe somebody else needs to see it too.
Whatever voice has been speaking loudest lately, take it back to the One who made you and ask:
Who told me that? And what does God say instead?
What a gift that our identity does not have to be built on the changing opinions of the world, our circumstances, our successes, or even our failures.
It can be rooted in Christ.
Grace saved us.
Grace changes us.
Grace sends us.
And somewhere in the middle of all that grace, He reminds us:
You are My masterpiece. 🤍
Sometimes the magic is in the details. ✨
This head of hair took time, patience, precision… and a serious arm workout. 😂 When you’re working with this much thick hair, every section matters.
The goal wasn’t just to make her brighter — it was to create beautiful dimension while protecting the integrity of her hair every step of the way. That meant careful placement, watching the lift closely, and even removing foils individually as sections were ready so those ends stayed protected.
The result? Bright, dimensional, blended, healthy-looking hair with movement and shine… and a stylist who definitely does NOT need to hit arms at the gym tonight. 💪🏼😂
This is why attention to detail matters. Beautiful color is one thing. Beautiful color while keeping the hair strong is the goal. 🤍
Some appointments are about hair.
Some are about history, trust, and walking through life together. 🤍
After more than 20 years in my chair, today my sweet client decided it was time to begin embracing her natural gray and transition away from full coverage color. And honestly… I think it’s beautiful.
She hadn’t seen me in nearly two years, and aside from a little box color along the way 😅, no one else had touched her hair.
Three and a half hours, lots of foils, a fresh cut, and plenty of catching up later… here we are. Soft, blended, dimensional, natural, and completely HER.
Aging doesn’t mean giving up beauty. Sometimes it just means redefining it with confidence and grace. 🫶

Today was A DAY. 😵💫☕️
The kind where you’re multitasking, delegating, answering questions, doing hair, putting out little fires… and at some point you realize you’ve even started assigning jobs to your clients while they sit and process. 😂 Tiffany McLendon Eric Haynes
Because when you can’t do it all by yourself… everybody’s on staff. 🤣
So the real question is…
More coffee??? ☕️
Honestly, at this point, why even ask.

Sometimes the “before” has to happen at home because I get way too excited to jump in and get to work! 😂
This beauty came in for a little TLC — regrowth, extensions, and an overall refresh to bring everything back together.
We finished with a gorgeous buttery blonde, beautifully blended roots, and extensions that are absolutely seamless. ✨
And can we talk about how pretty curled hair looks?! Like ribbon candy. 🍬🤍
Soft, blended, dimensional and just so pretty. 😍
