This 1908 Proof Double Eagle was struck with sandblasted proof dies, giving it a matte finish. 1908 is also the year the Motto was added to the reverse of the coin, where it appears just above the sun at the base of the coin. This coin is tied for the finest recognized by CAC.

CAC Grading is donating eight prints of coins to the ANA Summer Seminar in Colorado Springs, to be auctioned off during the YN auction. Proceeds will go towards future scholarships for young numismatists. Each printing will be one of two. The first four will be available during week one, and the remaining four during week two. The prints available each week will feature different coins and will come signed by John Albanese and Ron Drzewucki.
This 1831 Quarter Eagle has booming luster with subtle highlights of the sought-after "copper-orange" look, often found on older vintage gold.

This 1795 Flowing Hair Dollar has a perfectly even wear pattern and is the epitome of originality, with a rich, dark color. The 1795 Dollar is known for two major varieties: the Three Leaves and Two Leaves (pictured here). This variety is determined by counting the leaves located under the eagle's wing on the reverse. Of the two types, the two-leaf variety is scarcer.

This coin is especially challenging as heavily circulated coins of this era are expected to show much more wear and tear. It is unusual for a coin, especially of this size, to remain problem-free. This piece once received a great strike, as everything important is still visible and sharp around the devices.
