This is a question we get asked a lot!
For the past two years, the team at InLei® HQ has been deep in the lab, conducting relentless R&D and comparative testing to analyze the exact cosmetic chemistry of Cysteamine versus traditional Thioglycolic Acid (TGA).
Here’s what the science reveals about their chemical mechanisms:
🔬 TGA (Thioglycolic Acid): Works with pinpoint, linear precision. It targets and breaks both delicate and strong disulphide bonds simultaneously, right where you place it on the shield
🔬 Cysteamine HCL: Operates through a more dispersed diffusion. It attacks the softer, delicate outer disulphide bonds first before penetrating to target the stronger, structural core bonds.
Because Cysteamine diffuses differently, early iterations across the market struggled with unpredictable batch strength and curl relaxation-where lifts would drop significantly after just two weeks compared to TGA.
To solve this, our researchers performed extensive split-face model testing (one eye Cysteamine vs. one eye TGA, tracked week after week), alongside HRIPT dermal testing in Canada, ophthalmological safety trials, and microscopic lash tip analysis.
The result? We’ve engineered a stabilized Cysteamine formulation paired with a precise, protective application protocol that works across all lash types and eye shapes-guaranteeing curl stability and longevity that matches TGA results! 🧬 Eye-area safety, zero kinking, and total processing control.

Most artists are against shampooing after a brow lamination because they’re scared of losing the lift.
