Wait… physical therapy can help with THAT?!
When people hear pelvic floor physical therapy, they often think pregnancy, postpartum, or Kegels.
But pelvic health PT is so much more than that.
Bladder leaking, urgency and frequency, constipation, pelvic pressure or heaviness, pain with in*******se, pelvic pain — these are common concerns, but common doesn’t mean you simply have to live with them.
And pelvic health PT isn’t only for women. We work with women and men of all ages experiencing bladder, bowel, pelvic and sexual health concerns.
At Northern Edge Physical Therapy, pelvic health treatment is individualized to you, your symptoms, and the things you want to get back to doing.
Not sure if pelvic health physical therapy could help you? Give us a call and ask. We’re happy to help point you in the right direction. 💙
You don’t have to just live with it.

Wait... Physical Therapy can help with jaw pain?
Yep!
Jaw pain and temporomandibular disorders (TMD) can affect much more than just your jaw. Symptoms may include:
-Pain or difficulty with chewing
-Clicking or popping
-Limited or painful mouth opening
-Headaches or facial pain
-Neck pain and tension

Physical therapists can assess the jaw and the surrounding muscles, neck, posture and movement patterns that may be contributing to your symptoms.

October is National Physical Therapy Month!
Physical therapy is about so much more than recovering from an injury.
At Northern Edge Physical Therapy, we help our clients get back to the things that matter to them - hiking our trails, returning to sport, keeping up with the kids, recovering after surgery, improving balance, managing pelvic health concerns, or simply moving through everyday life with less pain and more confidence.
Throughout October, we'll be highlighting some of the many ways physical therapy can help - including a few you might not expect.
We're proud to live, work, and care for our community right here in the Mat-Su Valley!
Not sure whether physical therapy could help with what you're dealing with? Give us a call and ask. We'd be happy to point you in the right direction.

When most people think Physical Therapy, they think knee replacements, back pain, and "that old football injury."
And yes - we treat all of those. Physical Therapy is ultimately about helping you move and function better so you can do more of what matters to you!
But PT can also help with things you might not expect:
- Dizziness and vertigo
- Jaw pain and TMD/TMJ
- Pregnancy and postpartum recovery
- Bladder leakage and pelvic floor concerns
- Headaches and neck pain
- Balance and fall prevention
- Return to sport and performance
- Persistent pain and getting back to activities you've stopped doing
Have something going on and aren't sure if PT can help? Ask us!

We asked what the biggest fall hazard in your home was. Stairs and Pets 🐾 were the most common responses. Since we have a lot of people with stairs, we're sharing how to safely go up and down them with a walker

We're here to help members of our community who are at risk for falls. Please don't hesitate to reach out to our clinic for more information.

Your body is stronger than you think!
Pain can be scary - especially when it sticks around.
And when something hurts, it's pretty natural to start avoiding it. Thoughts like "I probably shouldn't bend like that" or " My knee is bad, so I shouldn't squat" to even "My back could go out, so I need to be careful."
But pain doesn't always mean your body is being damaged - and avoiding movement altogether can sometimes make getting back to the things you love even harder.
Physical Therapy isn't just about making pain disappear. It's about helping you understand WHY something hurts, finding movements your body can tolerate, and gradually building the strength, mobility and confidence to do more.
Sometimes that starts small.
Sometimes it means lifting heavy things. Sometimes it means running, jumping, or getting back on the field. And sometimes the goal is simply getting out of bed, picking up your grandkids, or walking through Costco without paying for it later.
Whatever your goal looks like, we want to help you trust your body again.
Move better. Feel better. Get back to living.
