Volume shampoos are designed to give the appearance of fuller, more voluminous hair, but is it approved by me?

Shampoo, is made to do one thing and thats CLEAN. These shampoos typically contain large amounts of sodium chloride (table salt)

Why are excessive amounts of table salt in your shampoo?

It dries out the hair, creating a plumper hair follicle- resulting in that desired "volume" clients are looking for.

But like most things to much of anything isn't good, overuse of a volume shampoo will strip your hair of its natural oils, lack shine and can become impossible to detangle.

If you’re looking for volume, I wouldn't bother spending the money on a shampoo that claims to do this, I suggest using a mousse or root lifting spray instead!

What's the difference between a lived-in color and traditional foil?

A "traditional foil" is a method of adding brighter pieces of color throughout your hair from roots to ends.

Although not as low maintenance as a lived in color, this is a great method for blending gray and adding texture to fine hair. Most clients come for a retouch every 8-12 weeks.
