A little glimpse in the day in the life at Medical Massage with Haley.

There are some clients I work on weekly, some come once a month, once every 6 months, or some get out of routine and I don’t see for years. Life seasons change, people’s lives change & it’s hard to be able to get a massage. I GET IT. And let’s be really honest, massage is generally a luxury expense for most people. So when I have a client on my table, I try to do my very best to give relief in SOME way to make the days following better for each client.

This client I met 6 years ago, we had very regular appointments, life happens..work, kids, school..we get out of routine. So I finally got a last minute opening to be able to work on her. So many people think they are “just getting” a massage, but if you tell me something’s been bothering you…my brain goes into every file it has to try to give some relief.

I have a handful of doctors, PA, PT, Chiro’s & various other professionals that refer clients to me. I’m SO THANKFUL that their mind comes to massage. Because as much as those injections are great for pain relief, they aren’t always 100%…or even 50%. They aren’t a one size fits all. And surgery….man they are so quick to cut on you. I tell every client considering surgery or injections…just give me a chance. Let me work on you as much as possible for the next XYZ weeks to be able to see if we can get some relief.

Her question when she left was “should I keep doing chiro & dry needling or skip it & do massage?” My answer EVERYTIME when you are mixing treatments from various people, Pay attention to how your body feels after each type of treatment. If you get more relief from chiro, keep doing that. If you get relief from massage, keep doing that. If it’s PT, KEEP DOING THAT. I sent her a follow up text of the muscle names to tell her chiro that I found were THE muscles that hurt when I worked them, I told her to have him dry needle those. And just see what happens. She has future appointments booked but I tell EVERY client, book the appointment, if you end up not hurting or feel like a different treatment option is better than massage then keep doing that. IM OKAY WITH YOU CANCELING when you get your reminder text, if you are feeling better or something else is working. Do I want to see you every week, YES! But I do know that’s not realistic for everyone.

I worked on her 24 hours before this text ❤️ she told me where it hurt, she showed me movements when explaining….the actual muscle that was the issue…..completely OPPOSITE of where the pain is. I told her where I thought the injury was, she looked at me crazy and said alright let’s try it! HA! She’s not pain free, but there is relief. A few more sessions, some ideas to help her keep it recovering at home, & I think we can get her back rolling the way a momma with little humans to play with needs to be.

* Not EVERY client gets relief after one session, sometimes it takes a few sessions for me to find the injured muscle. Sometimes it takes a few sessions for me to learn your body & know how it’s going to relax enough to let me get progress. Sometimes that hands on massage, sometimes it’s scraping, sometimes it’s cupping, sometimes it’s more stretching, I am winging it with every client. But I have a method to the madness, track what’s working & not working to give you the best results.

My October schedule is fully booked, and November has very limited availability! I am SO thankful for my clients and every single referral. It’s hard knowing someone is hurting—or has been referred by their doctor for an injury—and I can’t get them in as quickly as I’d like.

I’ve been considering partnering with another massage therapist for a while, and meeting Hannah fell into place at the perfect time! 💚

Hannah Remore is a licensed and insured massage therapist who graduated from massage therapy school in February 2026. Before pursuing massage therapy, she studied kinesiology at ULM. She also has experience working as a physical therapy technician and as a massage therapist in a chiropractic office.

Hannah has a passion for helping people feel their best, with a special interest in therapeutic massage and recovery. If you love focused work on those tight, sore muscles, she may be a great fit for you! She adjusts the pressure and techniques to your needs and comfort level, while still making room for relaxation.

Her training includes Swedish, deep tissue, prenatal, hot stone, cupping, and scraping techniques. Every session is tailored to the individual, with the goal of helping clients leave feeling more relaxed, restored, and confident in their bodies.
