Life has been SO busy lately, that I haven’t posted in what feels like forever. Both of us have been on somewhat different schedules and it’s definitely been a bit hard.
After college life is NOT easy, nor should anyone think it will be easy. To think it has almost been a year since we graduated is absolutely insane. Adapting to this new lifestyle hasn’t been easy either, but we do it and I think we are killing it.
A lot has changed, but we haven’t. I’m so happy we get to do life and grow everyday together. Ups, downs, in betweens , and all around. We’ve made it through some of the craziest things and over the last year, we have made it through TONS of change. I’m proud of us and where I see our journey taking us. No matter the change, hardships, little time together, I’ll always be by your side like I know you are by mine.
So, just a little appreciation post for us, about us. I love you. So glad we are each other’s. I wouldn’t want it any other way.
Sooooo see you at the gym at 6 after work? 😘

So I didn’t post on World Mental Health Day because sometimes it’s hard to find the right words to say. My mental health is something I have been trying to work with for some time now, but it’s not always the easiest. It’s an everyday thing for me. As I get older, it seems as though my anxiety continues to grow with me, yet I can never grow away from it. I notice things I never used to, I think things that should be left alone, and when I worry, my mind wonders 17 different directions as if it is searching for a possible solution or answer to this worrisome.
Not only is it hard to let things go, but I get stuck thinking things are always my fault. And I know for a fact that people who deal with anxiety similar to mine get what I’m saying. I blame myself for things so others don’t have to; I over think things so others can take it easy. I’m just the type of person who puts everyone else’s happiness before my own, only to still be let down because I give so so much, only to receive so little or nothing at all. Yet, I’m still okay with that and I let my body take it.
Lately I’ve been working on focusing more on myself. Thank goodness for my family, my boyfriend, and others I am close to, because I would not be where I am at, today, if it wasn’t for them.
I still battle anxiety, so everyday will always be mental health day. But every day I’m stronger. Every day I make new change, I try something new, but I’m still me. I’ve been working on MY happiness and making MYSELF happy, before others. Learning not to care about the little things is hard, but I’m freaking working on it.
Everyday is a new day. Everyday is a good day.
Don’t forget about those who are going through something; check in on them, show them you are there when no one else may be. You never know what someone is going through unless you ask.
