🌻 HUMP DAY CHECK-IN — HOW ARE YOU REALLY DOING? 🌻

Well… it’s Wednesday. 🐪
We made it halfway through the week, but honestly… some weeks feel a whole lot heavier than others. 💔

And yesterday was one of those days that just hit different. We lost Dolly Parton—a true country music legend, one-of-a-kind human, and someone whose music, kindness, humor, and heart touched generations. 💕🎶✨

So today, here at Beyond the Survival, I want to check in on YOU.

Forget the “I’m fine.”
Forget pretending everything is okay when it isn’t.

💭 How are you REALLY doing this week?

Are you:
🌀 Overwhelmed?
😴 Exhausted?
💔 Hurting?
😊 Having a surprisingly good week?
😤 Just trying not to lose your mind?
🌱 Healing and making progress?
🤷‍♀️ Somewhere in between?

Whatever it is… you’re allowed to say it here.

Tell us in the comments:

👇 Give us one word that describes how you’re feeling today.

And if you need a little extra support, tell us what you’re struggling with. Maybe someone else in this group is going through the exact same thing and just needs to know they aren't alone. ❤️

Sometimes surviving the day is enough.

Sometimes laughing is healing.
Sometimes crying is healing.
Sometimes blasting Dolly Parton and singing at the top of your lungs is healing. 🎶💎😂

And sometimes… we just need somebody to say:

“I see you. Keep going.” ❤️

So, Beyond the Survival family…

🌻 CHECK IN. WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. 🌻

How are you REALLY doing this Hump Day?

Sometimes Monday isn’t about having it all together… sometimes it’s simply about saying, “I’m still here, and I’m trying.”

So let’s check in 👇

💬 Describe how you’re feeling today using ONE word.

No judgment. No explanations needed. Just real people, real feelings, and a reminder that you’re not walking this journey alone. 🫶

And if nobody has told you yet today…

I’m proud of you for making it this far. Keep going. You’re becoming who you were created to be. 💚

YAYYYYY… IT’S FRIDAY! 🎉💗

And guess what?! WE ALL MADE IT! 🙌

Welcome to a brand-new chapter of Beyond the Survival. 🌻✨

This page is for the women who have been through it… the ones who have had to be strong when they were exhausted, smile when they were hurting, and keep going when they weren't sure how.

But here's the thing…

We weren't meant to spend our whole lives just surviving. ❤️

We're here to heal.
We're here to grow.
We're here to laugh again.
We're here to find ourselves again.
We're here to become MORE than what happened to us. ✨

So today, let's celebrate making it through another week! Grab your coffee ☕, take a deep breath, put your feet up, and give yourself some credit.

You made it. And that matters. 💕

Drop a ❤️ or tell me one thing you're proud of yourself for this week or drop an image!

Welcome to Beyond the Survival — a place to heal, connect, laugh, grow, and rise together. 🌻💗

New chapter. Same fight. Bigger purpose.

🤍 A STEP BACK TO BUILD SOMETHING BIGGER 🌻

I’ve made the decision to take a step back from massage therapy for a little while and focus on my health and healing.

Between MCAS, Sjögren’s, lupus, new allergies that are making touch and certain products increasingly difficult for me, and now foot surgery next week, my body is telling me it’s time to slow down. I’ve also had to navigate new reactions to things like Dove products, dairy, egg yolk, pork, and seafood 🦞, which makes limiting my exposure even more important.

I’ll be taking approximately 6 weeks away from massage while I recover from surgery, and when I return, things will look a little different.
I’ll be limiting the number of massage clients I take so I can better protect my health and reduce my exposure to things that trigger reactions.

Massage therapy will always be a passion of mine, and I know I’m very good at what I do. ❤️ 💆🏼‍♀️But I also know that I’m being called toward something bigger than the massage table. 🪷

Once I’m back on my feet, I plan to continue building Beyond Survival—becoming a voice for survivors, stepping into public speaking, writing my book, building our community, and creating the things we’ve been planning & plotting for so long.

This isn’t me giving up on my business.

It’s me making room for everything I’m meant to become. ✨

Thank you for your patience, understanding, love, and support as I take this next step. 💚 💜

Massage is still a part of my story.
But Beyond Survival is where I’m going next. 🌱

✨ Cupping Therapy: Let's Clear Up a Common Myth ✨
One of the biggest things I hear is...
"Those marks are toxins leaving your body."
While that's a common phrase, it's actually not medically accurate.

Here's what is really happening:
Cupping therapy uses gentle suction to lift the skin and underlying fascia rather than compressing it like traditional massage. This creates space between the layers of tissue, helping improve circulation, decrease fascial restrictions, and encourage your body's natural healing response.
The circular marks are NOT bruises and they are NOT toxins leaving your body.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), these marks are believed to represent areas of stagnation—where the flow of Qi (energy) and Blood has become restricted.
The goal is to restore balance by improving the movement of Qi and Blood throughout the body.
From a massage therapy and modern anatomical perspective, the suction brings fresh, oxygen-rich blood to the tissues, stimulates the lymphatic system, and encourages the body to remove normal cellular waste products more efficiently through your lymphatic system, liver, and kidneys. The discoloration is simply a response to increased circulation and tiny superficial blood vessels releasing a small amount of blood beneath the skin—not toxins escaping through the skin.
Every set of marks is different.
✔️ Light pink marks often fade within a day or two.
✔️ Darker marks may indicate an area that has experienced more restriction or congestion and can take several days to disappear.
✔️ Sometimes there are no marks at all—and that's perfectly normal too!
Cupping may help:
🌿 Reduce muscle tension
🌿 Improve mobility and range of motion 🌿 Increase circulation
🌿 Release fascial restrictions
🌿 Promote relaxation and recovery
Healing isn't about
"pulling toxins out." It's about supporting your body's incredible ability to heal itself by restoring healthy movement, circulation, and balance.
Your body already has amazing detoxification systems—your liver, kidneys, lungs, digestive tract, and lymphatic system.
My job is to help those systems function more efficiently by reducing restrictions and improving circulation.
Healing is a journey, and every body tells its own story. ❤️

Life Changes.
Healing is a Choice.

Life has a way of changing the direction we never expected.
Sometimes those changes break us. Sometimes they rebuild us. 💪🏼
And sometimes, they become the very reason we're able to help someone else.
My passion for massage therapy hasn't changed—it's still at the heart of who I am. 💞
Helping women heal, reconnect with themselves, and find peace in their own bodies will always be part of my purpose.
But healing doesn't stop on the massage table. 💆🏼‍♀️
My mission is growing into something even bigger: encouraging women to rediscover who they are beyond the pain, the trauma, the titles, and the expectations the world has placed on them.
To remind them that their past doesn't define their future, and that it's never too late to choose a new path. 🛣️
Whether it's through massage therapy, photography, sharing my testimony, or simply being someone who believes in you when you've forgotten how to believe in yourself, my purpose remains the same...
To help women heal, grow, and confidently step into the life they were created for.
The path may change. The purpose never does. 💜
