Going through pics and vids from vacation … I do not recommend playing on a teeter totter which someone who doesn’t weigh the same because they can literally hold you hostage. Brian did the same thing to me just days before. I had to beg to be let down.

One of my favorite parts of cruising with Virgin Voyages —- you don’t have to fight children for the games. You just have to fight other adults for it. 🤪 JK! We never had any problems getting the teeter totter or swings and even the nearby pickleball courts had a fair sharing system.

I don’t always film outside my window when flying but these clouds looked so fluffy yesterday—I just had to.

We made friends with a lovely couple from Lenexa on our tour yesterday and we ran into them again today at the Roundabout. Nik showed me her awesome trip scrapbook. What a great idea! If only I had an ounce of creativity then I could do something similar.

Solar Eclipse Cruise - Day 12 Highlights

Today was a sea day and I felt like I spent most of my time at the Manor, one of the Virgin Voyages Valiant Lady’s entertainment venues. Started with brunch at the Wake because I can get clam chowder at breakfast. They also have a layered crepe cake that’s only available on the breakfast menu. Brian doesn’t really care for the breakfast here but was a trooper and humored me.

Later in the morning, Becca and I did the Dance Remix class led by Christian at the Manor while the boys did some art. Jay was painting with coffee while Brian was doing coloring.

Then we watched a lecture about the construction of the International Space Station presented by a couple of real life NASA astronauts—-Tony Antonelli and Pam Melroy. It was a fascinating talk and I totally geeked out.

Grabbed lunch at the Pizza 🍕 Place. It’s my first time trying it despite being almost at the end of our voyage. Brian loves this place because they serve the Virgin beer, which is his new favorite. Then went around the corner for ice cream at Lick Me Till Ice Cream.

Shortly after, our group returned to the Manor for the Pay Attention game show which was so much fun. Brian and I grabbed some food at Gunbae before joining Happenings Cast members Kayla and Sam at the Social Club for the Dirty Laundry game—-also a ton of fun. Brian even earned a free drink for spilling some personal tea.

We finished off the evening at Club Caliente with a basic salsa and bachata lesson, followed by social dancing. This was also led by Sam, this time as his alter ego Captain Caliente.

Solar Eclipse Cruise - Day 7 Highlights

Sea day highlights include pickleball 🏓 AND ♟️ chess. We also played a few rounds of “Go F* Yourself” before dinner.

Funny story, when I booked our brunch and dinner reservations for this sea day, I didn’t realize I booked the Wake for both. So Brian and I had brunch at the Wake and then also had dinner with the group at the Wake that evening. It’s okay because I love their clam chowder which I had at both breakfast and dinner. LOL.

After dinner, we watched the Magnets perform. We thought the late show wouldn’t be as crowded but the Red Room was just as packed.

Also, I was too late to formally participate in the Scarlet Night dance lesson this morning but it didn’t keep me from learning it. I’ll be ready on Saturday!
