This week the world became a whole lot less sparkly. It’s been said Dolly simply wanted to be remembered as being a good-hearted person who tried to do good things for people and brought joy to the world. I think it’s safe to say she accomplished that and so much more. We love you, Dolly! 💖

In light of yesterday’s shoplifting events, this felt like a really good reminder to share 🤍 When you shop and support small local businesses you’re quite literally supporting the people you’re talking to inside the business (hi!!🙋🏼‍♀️) and the local makers/vendors we have in the shop and our families and our dogs and our cats and hey maybe a goldfish idk?? You’re supporting us directly and in a greater sense the community you’re either living in or visiting. A huge part (if not the biggest part) of what makes Wilmington cool (and any other small town/city for that matter) is all the small locally owned shops and bars and restaurants in them. We’re extremely proud and happy and grateful to live and own a business in a community that really shows up in a big way, so thank you!! Let this serve as inspiration to get out there and support a small business today, it means a lot!

I’m not lost, I’m just looking for this really cool shop that has a bunch of wildly specific stuff and a really homey eclectic vibe and it’s owned by a mom and 2 daughters that kinda look exactly alike… do you know it???

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mommas out there but especially to ours who showed us one of the most important things in life- the Hall & Oates hotline. I can’t think of a better holiday to coincide with our shop’s birthday because Homebody is truly the 3 of ours shared kid! So cheers to Mother’s Day and cheers to Homebody and cheers to another year of us having a mom so awesome we work right next to her everyday🍸✨🤍 (also if you want to partake in the cheersing we have free mimosas in the shop all day)!!
