In Sarga Bodywork we use friction and shear force to stimulate the fascial system. 👣 The only problem with feet is that they have a larger contact surface area vs hands. This means our feet can be a little TOO good at creating friction which is why we need lubrication. Oils and creams dramatically lessen friction, and barefoot massage with no lubrication is so painful, it should be considered a form of medieval torture. ☠️ We searched high & low and couldn't find what we were looking for so we came up with a natural wax-based lubricant ourselves called MYO.RUB. Put simply, it gives you the slip without losing your grip. It's for any fascia-focused massage therapists but particularly important for barefoot massage therapists wanting to work with fascia in their practice. 🕸️ It's linked in our bio!

As a Licensed Massage Therapist I work with fascia tissue on a regular basis and let me tell you, it’s a life changing thing!👏🏻 If you are getting consistent bodywork done and just not seeing the long term relief or improved ROM, ask your therapist if they do fascia based bodywork! It is not the most comfortable modality to receive but I PROMISE it is worth it 🫶🏼 Fascia is our main organ of proprioception and functional stability through movement. It is also a leading cause of chronic pain due to the fact it has up to 10x more nociceptors (pain receptors) than any other tissue!!! Dysfunction in your fascia tissue will cause a domino effect throughout your entire body- it’ll throw muscles, bones, nerves, organs all out of alignment. All of your biomechanics will shift to compensate for adhesive markers. With that being said, I highly recommend receiving fascia therapy at least once in your life so you can see the difference it makes! Once you experience the relief it brings, you’ll always want it done!💪🏼 #massagetherapy #wellness #fascia #selfcare #fitness
