just hopping on here with a psa for my beauties 🤍 as I see more “home artists” and self-taught people coming into tattooing I just want to stress the importance of going to someone who’s invested time, money, and care into their services, supplies & licenses!

this is not to say self-taught artists can’t thrive but it is a requirement by the state & counties to be licensed and tattooing out of an approved facility at all times! there’s important reasons for this, and I can’t stress enough how important your health and safety is 🤍 the health department checks for things you may not think to look for yourself that’s why they are there! (this applies to pmu too - if you’re seeing someone for a permanent service ask questions! anyone who’s licensed would encourage you to and have answers!)

my tattoo pop ups are even inspected and approved by the health dept! I pay for these inspections each and every time! these are things you wouldn’t know unless you work in this industry, so just be vigilant! tattoo parties, home parties, pop ups and tattooing in a studio are all licensed services. If they don’t have the licenses to back it up, I heavily suggest thinking about it! Stay safe lovelies 🩷
