Stylist to stylist: be a little unprofessional. đ¤
Not *actually* unprofessional. Show up on time. Know your s**t. Respect boundaries. Do damn good hair.
But stop feeling like you have to be so polished behind the chair that you forget to be a PERSON.
Laugh with your clients. Tell them the story. Remember the tea from their last appointment. Let them get to know you. Let your personality take up a little space.
Because itâs never just about the hair.
Your clients can find talented stylists anywhere. They come back to you because of how they feel when theyâre sitting in your chair.
You can run a professional, successful business and still be the friend in the room.
Actually⌠I think you should be. đ¤
There are some things that you should just *want*
do not try this at home - do as I say, not as I dođđŽâđ¨đŤśđź
also - anyone remember Cheyenne?!
and you know weâll dive in deep to this hot take next week đ
A dreamy day for Alivia along side some of the best vendors on the Seacoast đ¤

Your hair grows from your roots. Not your ends.
â ď¸ Unpopular opinion incoming â ď¸
If your hairstylist says yes to everything you bring in... thatâs not a green flag.
âThatâs a really pretty picture.â My famous last words hehe. Thatâs what I say almost every week. And it IS pretty. But my clients already know whatâs coming next ⌠âthatâs not for you.â And I donât just leave them hanging there. I tell them why. The why behind it is what creates trust.
Weâve all heard it: âwell, youâre the expert.â Yes, Sally, I am. So when I say no, thatâs exactly why you trust me.
Say it louder for the stylists in the back: NO is a full sentence â and it might be the most trustworthy thing you ever say to a client đŤś
