Flowers: Therapy for the Soul
Flowers are a form of therapy,
prescribing colour for weary eyes,
fragrance for forgotten hope,
and soft petals for hearts that have known
too many sharp edges.
They ask for nothing
but a little light,
a sip of water,
and the chance to bloom,
a lesson we often forget
while rushing through our own seasons.
In every blossom
there is a reminder
that beauty survives storms,
that broken stems can grow again,
and that tomorrow
is always waiting beneath the soil.
A garden never hurries,
yet nothing is left undone.
Each flower opens
when its own time arrives,
never envying another's bloom,
never apologising for its colour.
So when words fail,
let flowers speak.
When sorrow lingers,
let petals soften the silence.
When joy arrives,
let blossoms celebrate it.
For flowers are more than decoration,
they are therapy for the soul,
tiny miracles rooted in earth,
teaching us, one bloom at a time,
that healing can be gentle,
hope can be quiet,
and even after the longest winter,
life finds a way to flower again.

When did you stop dancing?
Not literally ~ though maybe that too. When did you start waiting for permission to feel alive?
Aliveness is not a reward you earn at the end. It is a choice you make in the middle of an ordinary day. Your body knows joy as motion, not achievement.
So dance. Badly, gladly, alone in your kitchen if you must. Re-claim it. Stop chasing life ~ let it come to you.

Before the butterfly, there is the cocoon.
We love the wings. The colour, the lift, the freedom of them. But we forget what comes first ~ the stillness, the dissolving, the long quiet undoing where the caterpillar stops being what it was.
Transformation is not always loud. Often it happens in the quiet, in the rest, in the parts of you that only move when you finally stop forcing.
While you sleep, your subconscious keeps working. It sorts, it heals, it re-writes. The mind you wake with is never quite the one you fell asleep as. This is not poetry, it is how you are built.
So if you are in a season that feels like undoing, take heart. You are not falling apart. You are in the cocoon. Rest is not the opposite of growth. Sometimes rest is the growth.
Trust the quiet. The wings are coming. And it begins, as it always does, with you.
