Not all Sceletium products are equal. Being a desert succulent is a tough life - all the animals want to eat you. For protection there is some nasty stuff in there like waxes, lignans & oxalic acid! Ouch! This is why the ancients understood that a little fermentation was a good idea if higher dosages were going to be consumed. We remove these nasties.
