Hair Extension Awareness ✨
Not every extension appointment is about adding more hair. Sometimes it’s about correcting a previous installation.
One of the biggest issues I see is choosing a method that doesn’t fit the client’s hair or using too much hair for what their natural hair can comfortably support. Over time, that can lead to unnecessary tension, poor blending, and damage.
This is why I don’t believe there’s a “best” extension method. The best method is the one that’s appropriate for your hair, your density, and your goals. Sometimes that’s one row. Sometimes it’s multiple rows. Sometimes it’s keratin tips / tape extensions or wefts. The method should always fit the client, not the other way around.
If you’re wearing extensions that feel bulky, don’t blend well, or are uncomfortable, it may not be the extensions themselves. It may just be that the installation wasn’t designed specifically for your hair.
