What a blessing to have a grandbaby!! Finally, we can be in that special group of grandparents! It's just hard to be an ocean apart but I can see us racking up the frequent flyer miles!

Photodump from our time in Tennessee and Ohio. We had so much fun!
Back home in Cape Town since Tuesday evening. Sad to not be able to hold our little grandbaby. Almost re-adjusted to the time zone but still getting tired early.

And we're back in Montgomery (for a few days now). It's raining today. Got some work so I'll be parked off at the kid's house so I have wifi. Have transcripts to do and I get to cuddle with Odin (Asher's dog).
Saw HoneyBee (she loves Peter) yesterday and her momma, Christy. Lovely lady, Ms Christy! And yes, HoneyBee was giving me side eye for taking the picture.
Quick snippets of our experiences our 1st week back in Bama.

Enjoying being back in America. Excited for the arrival of our 1st grandbaby. Heading towards Virginia this week for a gathering. Then we head back to Bama. Already had Starbucks a few times!
Happy 21st to our amazing daughter, Alyssa.
Today is Alyssa's 21st birthday! I had Peter write a song from both of us to her. I am so proud of our daughter. She's starting school once again in the new year. A new journey, a chance to explore and figure out what she wants to be doing. She is a wonderful young woman so full of life, joy, a bit of sass (don't know where she got that). She's such a wonderful daughter and I couldn't have asked for better. She brings such joy to our lives. The house is quiet without her presence but we know she is about to spread her wings once again! I love you Alyssa!
