Foot wounds should never be ignored.🦶
A small cut, blister, pressure sore or wound on the foot can become serious if it isn’t cared for properly especially for people living with diabetes, poor circulation or other conditions that affect wound healing.🩸
Knowing the warning signs can help you act early. Look out for increasing redness, swelling, warmth, pain, discharge, bad odour or a wound that isn’t healing.
Don’t wait until a foot wound gets worse.
🩺 Know the signs. Know what to do. Know when to seek professional wound care.

Neuropathy: when nerve damage makes it harder to feel what’s happening in your feet. 🦶
Peripheral neuropathy can cause reduced sensation, numbness, tingling or weakness especially in the feet and legs. When you have less feeling, a small cut, blister, burn or pressure injury can go unnoticed and potentially become a more serious foot wound.
That’s why daily foot checks and proper foot care matter, particularly for people living with diabetes or other conditions that can affect nerve health.

Wound reopening after surgery?
Here’s what you need to know. A wound that starts to reopen can be concerning, but early detection and proper wound care can help reduce complications and support healing.🩹💉
Watch for key warning signs such as redness, increasing pain, foul-smelling drainage, slow healing, or wound separation. Keeping the wound clean and dry, using appropriate bandaging, avoiding unnecessary scratching or repeated movement, and following up with a healthcare professional can help protect your recovery.

Every week, we meet patients who wish they had sought help sooner.
“I thought it would heal on its own.” “I didn’t think it was serious.” “I kept treating it at home.”
These are some of the most common words we hear before discovering that a wound has become larger, infected, or much harder to heal.
Early intervention can make all the difference. Whether it’s a diabetic foot ulcer, pressure injury, surgical wound, leg ulcer, or a wound that simply isn’t healing, getting professional wound care as soon as possible can reduce complications and improve healing outcomes.
