For more than 40 years, NSI has been at the forefront of researching, developing and manufacturing innovative products with cutting edge ideas for the professional nail care industry. It all started with Dr Frederick Slack, a leader in the prosthetic dentistry and the original developer of plastic teeth, cut his finger and his nail while working. He then made a platform from aluminium foil to create a nail form and dentistry products to build a new nail. This action lead to the world’s first nail form in 1950. Fred and his son, Rick, decided to brand the successful formulas and establish Nail Systems. It was later changed to Nail Systems International due to the demand all over the world. NSI had many firsts in the industry:
1. Light Fantastic range: the first odourless light-cured acrylic.
2. Thermoshield and Airshield used for quick drying of products.
3. 1992: They entered the gel market.
4. 1996: The first nail tips with Polylflex.
5. 2003: The birth of Balance UV gel system.
6. 2005: The sophisticated Attraction Acrylic range. Our Vision

Our comprehensive range includes various acrylic and colour acrylic powders, liquids, tips, glitter and colour gels, sanitizers, buffers, oils, primers, nail forms, brushes and many more nail accessories to create the perfect nail enhancement. NSI Africa’s Training centres are keeping up to date with the latest nail technology. We have a NSI Training school in Port Elizabeth. Our educators have an abundance of experience- not only as nail technicians but also as trainers and they have all been accredited by the international director of NSI USA.
