Over the past 8 years, the Hatuchani Nywele movement across Tanzania has quietly carried a story most people have never been told.

One thing I have learned is this: knowledge has the power to transform mindsets in any community.

Yet our national syllabus does not offer hair knowledge at the primary level — the very stage where every child should be equipped to make right choices about how to care for the crown they were born with.

The cost of this gap is real.

Across the years, 70% of the customers we have served have shared regrets about side effects caused by hair done by uncertified stylists. A stylist will casually say "weka dawa kidogo tu tuchangamshe nywele," and ignorance from both sides becomes a total island — only for the client to later experience alopecia, baldness, or stunted hair growth.

These are only a few of countless stories I have witnessed from every chair.

is no longer just a salon. It is becoming a movement built on three pillars:

🌿 A Salon — where natural hair is honored and protected 📚 A School — where hair knowledge is no longer a privilege
🛡️ A Shield — against the silent harm caused by unsafe practices

We believe hair literacy is a human right, and natural hair is heritage worth protecting.

It was such an honor to share our story at Kingdom Mindset event .I shared on Breaking the Fear of starting launching and growing businesses as a practical story that God had to teach me the hard way for the past 8 years .I am so honored to serve may the Lord transform this nation for a greater glory.If you have not been to programmes you are missing a lot of network opportunities and the gospel that aims at transforming christian mindsets spiritually, financialy and economicaly.

I once imagined myself as a doctor someday, but the Lord’s way was — a Hair Doctor today. I deeply admire all of you who succeeded as specialists, health analysts, and more.

Today, I had a full-circle moment at

– my senior from St. Mary Goreth Secondary School – walked in for her natural hair twists. Back then, I served as her Assistant Minister of Education in student leadership. I watched her lead with excellence, always at the top of her class.

Fast forward to today?
She is now the Country Head of Logistics at Tanzania Breweries Limited – a powerhouse role that moves an entire nation's supply chain.

But here is what truly inspired me:

We sat down (as she got her twists done) and talked about health-first beauty. Nancy shared how she is increasingly concerned about hair chemicals and their linked side effects – including cancer risks. Like so many professional women, she is choosing to step away from relaxers and harsh dyes.

Instead?
She is investing in natural hair care. Healthy twists. Low manipulation. High impact.

I also took the opportunity to benchmark my management approach against hers. Listening to how she leads logistics at TBL gave me gold-level insights on systems, people, and precision. It was humbling to sit back and learn from the best – while she trusted me with her crown.

What an opportunity we had yesterday for to sponser women rising conference 2026 .We managed to challenge attendees to discover their hair types.
