I know disappearing can hurt people.
I know it can look like I don't care.
The truth is, when life gets too heavy, I don't always know how to be present for anyone because I'm struggling to be present for myself.
So I go quiet.
Not because I'm pushing people away.
Because I'm trying to find enough air to breathe before I have the energy to explain what I'm feeling.
I never disappear because people don't matter to me.
I disappear because I'm trying to survive something I don't even have the words for yet.
