Today was truly meaningful and impactful.

I had the honor of serving as Guest Speaker during the commemoration of World Menstrual Hygiene Day at Lubombo Health Centre in Mazabuka, alongside the District Health Office, SHE-MOVES NGO, WaterAid, JICA, community leaders, and other stakeholders committed to supporting women and girls.

It was inspiring to engage with the community on the importance of menstrual hygiene, mental health, dignity, and ending stigma surrounding menstruation. I emphasized the need for families, communities, and especially men to support girls and women during their menstrual cycles to promote confidence, inclusion, and emotional well-being.

The day ended beautifully with the distribution of sanitary pads and other support materials to girls and women in the community.

Grateful for opportunities to speak, serve, and advocate for healthier and more empowered communities. 💙

The Mazabuka district health office and it's stakeholders invites you to a Wellness Day this Friday the 27th of March 2026.

As we approach the Mazabuka Day of Health & Wellness this Friday, 27th March, I find myself reflecting on this year’s Youth Day theme: “Arise and Soar.”

During Youth Week, the words of the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Kangwa Chileshe, deeply resonated with me. His call for young people to stay curious, speak up, ask questions, and believe that our dreams are valid has stayed with me long after the celebrations ended. His reminder was clear: the future belongs to those who arise with purpose and soar with vision.

Equally inspiring were the remarks by Her Honour the Vice President, Mrs. Nalumango, who encouraged us not to look back, but to remain focused on the work we are building—because it has the power to transform our nation. That Zambia will not be the same because of what we are doing.

It is in this spirit that we host the Mazabuka Day of Health & Wellness—an initiative rooted in purpose, community, and impact.

I am deeply grateful to our partner, the Ministry of Health, and all stakeholders who have believed in this vision and supported its realization.

This half-day event is designed to promote whole health—body, mind, and lifestyle. Activities will include:

Mental health awareness session 🧠
